Centennial College to receive $18.4 million in federal funding for new aerospace campus

Local dignitaries including York Centre MP Mark Adler, Mayor John Tory, and federal Finance Minister Joe Oliver attended the funding announcement on Wednesday, July 22 at the former De Havilland aircraft assembly plant where it will be renovated into an aerospace hub.

“For decades, this place has been a hub for aerospace development and manufacturing,” said Adler, noting De Havilland’s past contributions in building aircrafts particularly during the Second World War. “I’m proud to say, it will be again.” | READ MORE
