East Air was the first private airline in Tajikistan, and the first to fly Boeing and Airbus aircraft in the country. Since 2007 East Air has operated flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Orenburg.

The airline has great plans to open new routes to other cities within the Russian Federation and countries of Central Asia.  At the end of 2013 East Air joined a multilateral agreement on the formation of transfer connections and airline passengers are now able to take transit flights from Tajikistan to various cities of the Russian Federation and abroad through Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Moscow. In December 2013 East Air also announced its collaboration with Travelport – the leading service company in the field of sales and e-commerce in the global travel industry.

AJW Aviation is committed to partnering with East Air at this time of planned growth and will work with the airline to deliver a range of supply chain solutions that will aid efficiency and productivity. AJW has recently opened AJW Technique, its comprehensive component repair facility in Montreal. This is ideally placed to further enhance the service that AJW can offer to airlines worldwide via direct maintenance cost reduction.
