June 10, 2009 – White Plains – Corporate Angel Network has received a gift of $50,000 from Hawker Beechcraft Corporation in continuing support of the charity’s efforts arranging free flights to treatment for cancer patients using empty seats in business aircraft.

“Corporate aircraft owners who help Corporate Angel Network brighten the lives of those touched by cancer,” said W.W. (Bill) Boisture Jr., Hawker Beechcraft’s new Chairman & CEO.   “They enable patients to receive the best possible treatment while taking the worry, discomfort and extra cost out of the distant travel for treatment that so many patients must endure.  “Further, in a time when the use of business aircraft is under intense scrutiny by the media and our elected officials, this reflects one of many positive contributions made by our industry.”

The donation brings to more than $200,000 the contributions made by Hawker Beechcraft and its predecessor company Raytheon Aircraft Company.

Randall Greene, Corporate Angel Network’s Chairman, said “Hawker Beechcraft’s on-going support of our efforts has made a significant difference in our ability to expand the number of cancer patients we help.  Continuing donations such as this are typical of the widespread support CAN receives from the business aviation industry”.
