Montreal aerospace firm Tecnickrome changes hands

Montreal’s Tecnickrome Aéronautique Inc., a provider of specialized metal finishing services to the aerospace industry, has been sold to SPPCA Group, a unit of the Japanese Sumitomo Precision Products, for an undisclosed sum.

The 29-year-old Tecnickrome employs 130 workers at its Pointe-aux-Trembles plant and has annual volume of more than $10 million.

Its services include surface treatment, plating, heat treatment, testing, repair and overhaul, and manufacturing, mostly for landing gear for all the major aircraft companies from Bombardier, Airbus and Boeing and through their supply chains. | READ MORE
