Porter receives two more Q400 aircraft
Nov. 29, 2011, Toronto - Porter Airlines accepted two new Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft on Monday, bringing the company’s fleet to 26. Porter, one of the world’s largest operators of Q400 aircraft, placed the $61 million US order for the two aircraft in March 2011.

“These two aircraft will aid Porter’s growth plan, give us added operational flexibility and form an important part of our 2012 expansion,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “The Q400 aircraft continues to meet our expectations for reliability and performance. We look forward to future fleet additions.”
Porter has four outstanding options for Q400 NextGen aircraft, which it anticipates exercising within two years.

Porter operates a fleet comprised exclusively of 70-seat Q400 aircraft, which is one of the most fuel-efficient aircraft in its class, burning less fuel per seat than most regional and narrow-body jets. With leather seating, extended legroom and a 667 km/h cruising speed, the Q400 aircraft sets new standards for comfort, fuel efficiency and low emissions.
