Nov. 21, 2007, Richmond, B.C. – Vancouver Airport Authority welcomes the
Provincial Government announcement of its intention to launch a full public
inquiry into the death of Robert Dziekanski on October 14, 2007, and the
policy governing the use of Tasers by police in B.C.

Larry Berg, President and CEO of Vancouver Airport Authority, commends
the idea of public inquiry, saying: "We agree with the Provincial Government's
intention to have an open and public review of all aspects of this tragedy. We
will await the publication of further details from the Government, but let me
say that, from day one, we have been cooperating fully with the independent
Coroner's Investigation and will continue to co-operate with any and all
inquiries. We will act on the recommendations that come out of our own review
or any of these other independent inquiries."
