In 2016, Viking acquired the Type Certificates and assumed product support responsibility for the worldwide fleet of Canadair CL-215, CL-215T & CL-415 aerial firefighters. As the OEM for the Canadair Amphibious fleet, Viking supports global operators with factory spare parts, in-service engineering, and technical support. The Viking CL-415EAF (Enhanced Aerial Firefighter) is a limited-edition upgrade of select CL-215 Series V airframes chosen specifically due to their low total times and outstanding maintenance history. These upgraded airframes are designed to failsafe FAR 25 certification criteria and include incorporation of Service Bulletins associated with the proven and certified CL-215T program.

The CL-515 First Responder is the next generation of purpose-built aerial firefighter and multi-role amphibious aircraft. Through incorporation of new technology and integration of digital avionics, the 515 provides world-class reliability, enhanced safety, and unrivaled situational awareness. The CL-515 offers exceptional aerial firefighting capabilities with increased productivity from its expanded tank capacity (7,000 L) and ability to refill quickly from water sources close to wildfires to drop enormous amounts of foam-injected fire retardant on a continuous basis.
